For Evansville teens... its a right of passage, but cruising Green River Road could get costly this spring break. Business owners along the popular strip are asking police to step up patrols to cut down on loitering, littering and fights. Officers will be out in force this week as local schools are out for spring break and the weather is nice and warm. The goal isnt to throw a bunch of kids in jail, though. Its to find a way to keep teens, shoppers and business owners safe. Police are asking parents to give them a hand in keeping things under control, too. Ask kids where theyre going, who theyre hanging out with and what time theyll be home. While police arent planning on cracking down on curfew, violations can get kids in trouble.
