Air Medical Opens Base in Greenville

News Release: From: PHI Air medical PHI Air Medical Announces New Base Opening In Greenville, KY PHI Air Medical increases coverage area in the Western KY region to better serve your needs! Greenville, KY—(June 9, 2008) In an ongoing effort to provide the best air medical care in the state, PHI Air Medical would like to announce the opening of its newest base located in Greenville, KY. The addition of this base will increase the coverage area in the western KY region as well as minimize response times to some areas already served. Operations began on June 9, 2008 providing 24 hour coverage for inter-facility transports and pre-hospital scene response to the region. The base will be equipped with a new EC-135 medical helicopter and a crew comprised of a Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic and a Pilot. PHI crews are trained and experienced in critical care and transport of patients with a variety of com-plex medical needs. To enhance the safety of night operations night vision goggles are also utilized by PHI statewide in KY.
