Kristi Stewart likes swim suits the way some women like hand bags or shoes. She has five or six and she says, shell probably buy at least two more this year.
Kristi says, "It sounds like you can actually do it and get in a bikini after you complete it."
Thats why shes signed up for Ivy Techs Bikini Boot Camp. These ladies have been exercising since the first of the year, to get in swim suit shape. Theyre doing calorie burning exercises, and resistance training to tone their muscles all over your body.
Instructor Brittney Harrison showed us a lower leg squat. To do it- simply go into a kneeling motion, but stop short of letting your knee touch the ground. And watch your other knee too- if it crosses past your toe, youve overextended. Do ten to 15 reps on each side. Then rest. This one exercise alone works your ham strings, quadraceps and your bottom.
Even though other folks are on spring break, Kristi says she doesnt have any travel plans in the near future. Shes working out to bear her toned body when the weather gets really nice right here in Evansville, later this year.
