Firefighters are on the scene of a Daviess County warehouse fire for more than 24 hours.
They were called to the burning, paper-filled B.F.A. Warehouse on Ragu Drive just after 2:30 Friday afternoon.
Thruston Philpot Fire Chief Bob Newman says the bales of scrap paper, that stack 20 feet high were still smoldering Saturday morning.
Firefighters worked all day to remove the paper from the building in order to secure it.
Newman says a burning forklift sparked the fire that caused about four to five hundred-thousand dollars in damage.
Owner of BFA Inc.Dale Buskill says its a little overwhelming but that firefighters have it contained .
Buskill says the paper was being warehoused for a customer.
At least seven fire stations responded to the blaze.
No word yet on what caused the forklift to catch on fire.
