Its been four months since the search began, but the city of Henderson has a new Chief of police.
City Commissioners announced their choice at Tuesday nights meeting.
John Reed comes to Henderson with over 27 years experience on the Louisville Police Department.
He is filling the seat left vacant when Ed Brady was elected Henderson County Sheriff in November.
Reed beat out 50 applicants for the job.
July 2 is expected to be Reeds first day.
