The EVSC has filed a civil suit against Hewlett Packard alleging that they have not repaired several defects in the netbooks.
 According to the complaint the netbooks are experiencing significant damage to the base and the battery area from regular use and many netbooks have gotten cracks near the hinges.
    The EVSC looked into repairs but in many cases the costs exceed the cost of one of the computers.
A suit was filed because HP has been unwilling to correct the defects.
