Maldonado wins world title

Henderson boxer Daniel "The Sandman" Maldonado won the IBA Featherweight world championship on Friday night in Las Vegas. Maldonado won a 12-round split-decision over former champion Jose Alberto Gonzalez. Maldonado`s record is now 20-2 with 13 knock-outs.
