Person of Interest in Homicide Arrested

An Ohio County, Kentucky family is backing their brother as police investigate him for murder.
Police are questioning Dennis Shreve about the death of 21-year-old Dustin Condor.
They discovered Condor's body Tuesday morning in the 231 Motel on Triplett Street in Owensboro.
Police arrested Shreve after he took his gun from the scene of the crime.
They found the weapon in his car.
Shreve was the last person seen with the victim.
Officers took Shreve to the Ohio County jail for an outstanding warrant unrelated to Condor's death.
Now he's in Daviess County under police scrutiny for murder.
Shreve's family says until that process is over, people should stop accusing him and leave him alone.
Shreve says he's upset that Condor's family made threatening comments on TV, saying they wanted kill the person who killed Condor.
He also says he thinks people have been following his family around.

Police questioned Dennis Shreve Tuesday night and let him go, but now, they have charged him with tampering with evidence. Police say he removed the firearm from a room at the 231 Motel on Triplett Street in Owensboro where victim Dustin Condor was found dead. They say the gun was found in Shreve's vehicle. Neighbors tell us the 21-year-old victim often stayed with Shreve in that room. They also say they saw the two together a little before midnight on Monday. One neighbor also said he heard Shreve leave around 5:00 a.m Tuesday. No one says they heard a gunshot, but police say Shreve will most likely see more charges.
