USI starting point guard Kenny Page was arrested on Thursday for allegedly selling maijuana. The 21-year-old senior was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail around 5:00 after members of the Joint Drug Task Force found almost 57 grams of pot, along with $800 dollars in cash, plastic bags and a small digital scale in his apartment. At last report, Page remained in jail with no bond. Detectives say they got a tip that marijuana was being sold from Pages residence at Golden Tower Apartments. When they arrived at his apartment, detectives say they smelled pot. They then asked Page why they smelled the drug. He told them he just smoked some. The detectives say they asked to search Pages apartment and he cooperated by signing a consent-to-search form. Page told police he only had a small amount of pot. But, when they entered the apartment, they found the drug dealing equipment. Officers seized more than $950 in cash from Page. Page told police he didnt have a job or another way to make money, since he was a USI basketball player. Page is the Eagles leading returning scorer. He averaged over 12 points per game last season to go along with four rebounds. Page led USI in assists and steals.
