An Evansville man was attacked by a dog while trying to scare his girlfriend on Halloween. Aaron Eggers says he went into his girlfriend's bedroom wearing a werewolf mask.

When he startled her their 180 pound Rottweiler named Hurricane attacked. Eggers was taken the hospital where he was treated for 27 puncture wounds and a large gash on his arm.

Eggers says both he and his girlfriend want Hurricane to be put down because the dog has a history of biting.

The dog is currently in the Evansville Animal Control Shelter where he is being quarantined for ten days.

Mr. Eggers,
You are a [censored]! I hate to resort to name-calling but maybe it's needed to be on your level of understanding. Even if Hurricane had bitten in the past, you wait until he bites YOU to do something about it? But biting other people is OK, right? Maybe you should've utilized some of that sense you think you're blessed with and used better judgement upon entering your girlfriends room....donning a mask...in the dark...at night. That is about as smart as taking your girlfriends young daughter on a drunkin' joy ride at 2 in the morning....Oh wait you did that too. So I think reviewing your most intelligent history, you should be put down instead of Hurricane.

This guy deserved this. He's irresponsible, not just for this but for felony DWI with his girlfriends 13 yr old daughter in the car in the middle of the night! His girlfriend shows a total lapse in judgement - for letting her daughter "hang out" with him & for having such a fool as a boyfriend! THEY should be punished - not this poor dog. I know rotweilers. If they are vicious, you KNOW it. I hope the owner & her boy toy get punished instead.

Further, if you have a 180 rot that has a "history of biting" why would you provoke him, REALLY? Aaron Eggers failed to mention that HE has a history of driving he and his girlfriends daughter around while drunk. Hmm, why are both of these "parents" being given a second chance? I'm thinking he's more of a danger to society and his family than Hurricane.

He deserved to get bitten by Hurricane. This dog was protecting his heartless owner, who turned him over to Animal Control. Both of these people should never be allowed to have animals again. This story and the smug look on this thug's face make me sick. It was not Hurricane's fault. It was the stupidity of Aaron Eggers for scaring his girlfriend and her dog.
