Jordan Vandenberge

For some it's a calling. For others it's a career or a conviction. For Jordan, it's all three. As a passionate, dedicated, and award winning storyteller, he looks forward to every day where he gets to report on what matters here in the Tri-State.

Jordan was recently recognized by the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists. He won awards in Best General News Story and Best Feature Story.

Although he is a Dallas native at heart, Jordan Vandenberge couldn't be more excited to call the Tri-State area his new home. Jordan earned his Bachelors of Journalism degree from the world renowned University of Missouri School of Journalism where he also has a minor in Political Science. While in school, Jordan reported and anchored for KOMU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, MO.

As a passionate and dedicated storyteller, he cherishes every day he spends in the newsroom or out in the field reporting. He's a firm believer in big 'J' Journalism. He insists journalism should be a public service, aimed at informing and educating the viewer.

Outside the newsroom, Jordan is a Dallas sports fanatic. His favorite teams range from the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and everything Mizzou. His favorite sports memory was having the fortunate chance to see Kenny Rogers throw a perfect game in July of 1994. Also in his free time, Jordan loves listening to music, reading, and meeting new people. He also likes to pretend that he can play the guitar.

Jordan would love to hear your stories, so feel free to email, tweet, or Facebook him. You can also follow his blog!
