Man Arrested For DUI, Assault Investigation Continues

An Evansville man is in jail, charged with driving drunk. But that's just the beginning.
Police say Donald Elderbrook was arrested as police investigated an assault near the intersection of Delaware and Main.
Witnesses told police they saw Elderbrook, and another man, get out of a vehicle near the intersection, as the suspect hit the other man in the face with a pipe.
Police say when police found Elderbrook, he was interviewed and arrested for driving while intoxicated.
No charges have been filed in the alleged assault.
