Cowboys and cowgirls from as far away as Texas are having a shootout this weekend in Western Vanderburgh County. The group is setting up camp at the Sportsmen Club for an annual Old West Shooting competition known as ENCOW.

Participants are judged on speed and accuracy while using pistols, rifles, and shotguns to shoot at various targets.

"We do this cause of two things. We enjoy the 2nd Amendment, and we love history. And so those two things come together for ENCOWs, and we enjoy using firearms for competition living the Old West."

Organizers are happy with this year's turnout. They say it is the largest group of juniors and the largest group of women they have had in years.
