Scooter Driver Injured in Accident

A crash between a scooter and a SUV sends one man to the hospital with severe head injuries.
It happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Garvin & Walnut St.
The scooter got pinned under the passenger side of the SUV.
Both drivers were heading westbound on Walnut.
Evansville Police are not sure how the accident occurred, but believe the sun distracted both drivers.
The male driver on the scooter has been taken to Deaconess Hospital with severe head injuries.

The problem is...there are too many of thjem. Why? Alot are ridden by clowns who have already lost their license to DUI's or too many tix as they can ride the ones that are of lesser mph w/ no liocense or insurance on the roadways.

The problem with scooters is that they don't have to carry insurance and a valid drivers license. The question and concern is that people with inexperience are driving these machines. I watched an adult driving a scooter with a child sitting on a gas tank with no helmet if the adult would have wrecked the scooter I bet the child probably would be dead or injured for life this is a really alarming problem they should have to have a license and insurance to operate on the road.
