Thanks to community donations of close to $60,000. The almost 90-yea- old fountain has been revitatlized.

"Every dollar I understand," said Keep Evansville Beautiful President Cheryl Musgrave, "was donated by the community and there it is, restored. New plumbing, new lighting, new concrete base, new landscaping, a beautiful treasure."

The group unveiled a plaque on the fountain, which thanks community donors. Keep Evansville Beautiful is reminding Hoosiers to look but don't touch. EPD is monitoring the fountian to prevent anyone from taking a dip.
