2011 marks Randy's Moore's 31st year at Eyewitness News. He started as a news reporter in 1980, switched to sports for 10 years, then returned to news where he has been the primary news anchor for the past two decades.
Randy is recognized as Evansville's Best TV personality as voted by the readers of both The Evansville Courier Press and Evansville Living Magazine.
He has won the all the honors associated with excellence in the broadcast news industry, including the Emmy Award and the Edward R. Murrow Award.
Randy and his wife, Ann, founded Gilda's Club-Evansville in 2008 with the help of their family and friends. Ann died of pancreatic cancer last year, but Randy continues to work to realize Ann's dream of helping people live with cancer by opening a Gilda's clubhouse in Evansville.
Randy's community service also includes saving historic Bosse Field as a founding member of the Friends of Bosse Field, helping sick and injured children at Riley Hospital for Children through the Children's Miracle Network and helping children with dyslexia learn to read through the Masonic Learning Center.
He teaches Sunday School at Aldersgate United Methodist Church and is a Lay Speaker in the Evansville District of the United Methodist Church.
Randy was born and raised in Evansville. He is a graduate of Harrison High School and Ball State University. Randy has three adult children, Erin, Meredith and Andrew.
