Two weekends are in the books at Ellis Park with mixed attendance results.

The good news this weekend was much better than last.  Opening weekend usually draws huge crowds, but that was not the case this year, mainly due to the extreme heat-wave.

The good news for track officials is the temperatures have cooled and the crowd has picked up.

The Gardenia Stakes is one of the biggest races of the summer.  It will be held on August 11th.
