The debate is still raging over Chick Fil-A owner Dan Cathy's controversial statements about gay marriage.  Today the gay community is planning a demonstration of its own.  People who support the homosexual community have dubbed today National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil-As across the country.
Organizers are asking people to go to the front  counter and lock lips with someone of the same gender in protest.  Chick Fil-A officials say they're ready for demonstrators.
Business is booming here at Chick Fil-A in Evansville in the wake of the gay marriage statement.  Chick Fil-A reported record sales across the country on Wednesday as supporters of the company's president waited in line sometimes for hours to get food at the restaurnat.
Marketing Director Krista Seaton says things are almost back to normal.  But a national movement could be coming.  According to this Facebook page, National Same Sex Kiss Day has people puckering up in chick fil-a from sea to shining sea.
She says despite Chick Fil-A's reputation as a family atmosphere, peaceful protesting is what America's all about.  So as long as protesters are peaceful they can kiss whoever they want.
