Better Business Bureau's Tom Bozikis and 2011 Torch Award Recipient, Ben Klipsch, appeared on Local 7 Lifestyles to talk about the BBB Torch Awards. This competition is used to recognize local businesses who have demonstrated outstanding ethical business behavior. In efforts to make this competition more meaningful, we ask each company to address some specific ethics based questions and criteria within an application. The BBB understands that each business is unique in its size, policies and experiences though, so definitely expects differences in the approach to the questions. There are 4 business categories based on business size, all judged by an independent panel of business professionals and educators, so small business or large, your business should apply.

Recipients are recognized at the Torch Awards event in the fall, take home a beautiful trophy, and are featured through news & media venues.

They will start accepting applications Wednesday, August 8th and welcome nominations from the public too, on the Tri-State BBB's website www.evansville.bbb.org. Here you can also learn more about the eligibility requirement and download an application, to apply.
