Pike County, IN Oil Spill Update

Eyewitness News is continuing to follow Wednesday's oil spill in Pike County, IN.
Conservation officers say they believe 100 barrels of salt water spilled into a stripper pit, about two miles west of state road 61.
A local resident was out walking when he noticed the spill and called authorities. The pipeline is owned by the Lawrence Oil Company of Mount Carmel, Illinois. It was immediately shut off after the spill was discovered.
Conservation Officers say there was a small amount of oil mixed in with the salt water, but it has all been cleaned up.
