GM says the recall involves about 250-thousand mid-size SUV's sold in 20 states, including Illinois and Indiana.
The problem is related to fluid that can get inside the driver's door module and lead to a short in the circuit board. GM says that could cause the power locks and windows to fail, and in very rare cases, it could cause a fire.
There are no known crashes or injuries related to the issue.
