Owensboro Looking to Get Rid of Gabes Tower

The city of Owensboro continues its push to get rid of Gabes Tower.
A few weeks ago, the city contacted the owner, asking to purchase the building and to settle property liens against the building.
After that failed, the city is now looking to foreclose on the tower, which Mayor Ron Payne and others call an eyesore.
