Traffic Stop Leads to Marijuana Bust in Hopkins County

Troopers say during the stop, they learned the driver had an outstanding warrant. While trying to identify the passenger, troopers say they detected a strong odor of marijuana. They say a search turned up 13.5 pounds of pot.
The passenger, 18-year-old Edgar U. Garay-Munoz of Hopkinsville was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana.
The driver, 28-year-old Marilyn Rivera, of Henderson, was arrested on the outstanding warrant. Both were being held in the Hopkins County Jail.
