Spencer County isn't the only Tri-State county in the running for a billion dollar fertilizer plant.  We've learned Daviess County, Kentucky is being considered as well.

The plant would bring as many as 80 full-time jobs, as well as 12-hundred temporary jobs which, officials say, could lead to permanent positions.

But economic leaders say whether the plant locates to Spencer or Daviess County, the impact will be good.

Officials have not decided a location if the plant does locate in Owensboro, and they have yet to release a timetable for a decision to be made.
