Semi Truck Accident Causes Spill in Spencer County

The Spencer County Sheriff's Department says the driver of a semi truck hauling hydro-chloric acid was driving too fast at the intersection of Highway 231 and Highway 70, when the driver hit another semi. The tanker carrying the acid was not damaged. The accident happened around 4 a.m. Both drivers were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital.
