Evansville businesses near a Noble Roman's are speaking out after the government closes the restaurant's doors because of tax problems. Signs on Noble Roman's on Washington Ave. say the Indiana Department of Revenue revoked the retail merchant's license.
Businesses in Ross Center say they have a great relationship and will miss one of their favorite lunch stops. But they also fear foot traffic in their plaza will decrease.
"We can stop in and tan or we can go get a haircut," said Solaris Tan Owner Lisa Angel. "You may not have that now because their main goal was to run down there and get some breadsticks or a small pizza or something."
It's business as usual at gas stations like this Chuckles on Highway 41. We're told these Noble Roman's are not affected by the closings. Only franchises in Evansville and Jasper have closed.
