Funeral arrangements are still pending for a noteable Tri-State educator. Thelma B. Johnson died Friday at the age of 103. Johnson was the first African-American County Extension Agent in western Kentucky, and she was the first African-American to serve on the Henderson County School Board. Last year the school system named its new learning center after Johnson. Arrangements are pending at Mason Brothers Funeral Home in Evansville.
