Giffords' Shooter Gets Life

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Judge sentences man to life in prison for shooting Ariz. Rep. Giffords, killing 6 in rampage.
Giffords husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, told Jared Loughner in an Arizona courtroom on Thursday, "You changed her life, but you couldn't dent her spirit."
Giffords stood alongside her husband as he addressed Jared Loughner (LAWF'-nur) at his sentencing hearing. It's the first time since the shooting that Giffords and Loughner have come face-to-face.
He's getting life in prison for the shootings, which left six people dead.
Kelly also took a swipe at politicians for their vitriolic comments after the shooting.
