One person was hurt in an accident involving a semi Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 41 and Baseline Road in Vanderburgh County.
Witnesses on the scene say a car and a semi were both traveling northbound on Highway 41 and when they approached the stoplight at baseline road the car stopped for the yellow light and semi couldn't and rear-ended the car.
The collision caused the car to spin around and collide with another car.
The semi then continued into the median and a fuel tank was ruptured causing diesel fuel to spill out.
Hazmat crews were called out to clean up the spill.
Deputies say the driver of the car had to be extricated and was taken to a hospital with minor injures.
The semi driver was not hurt.
