Some Tri-state organizations are coming together to honor those that serve and protect our country. Point Man International Ministries and Home Front of Newburgh and Evansville are celebrating veterans and their families with its Freedom Isn't Free ceremony. Point Man and Home Front are support groups run by veterans to help them and their families get through the struggles of war and life after. We met Michael and Erickia Wilson, a married couple using their experiences to help others find a new normal. Many soldiers and their families say they're still paying a price after returning home from duty. For Erickia and Michael Wilson, they're a team, Michael served four years in the Marine Corps. For the Wilson's and millions of other veterans and their families, they say returning to the states is a new and difficult challenge. From finding a job, a home, proper finances, its a constant struggle. Home Front and Point Man International Ministries are collaborating with dozens of Tri-state organizations, for a Freedom Isn't Free tribute at Crossroads Christian Church. A highlight of the ceremony, a Veterans' Job Fair. Erickia says she's able to mentor and guide other families, which she sees as a privilege. For herself and her husband, they're still fighting a daily battle more than four years after Michael's return home. But its one they're fighting together. If you or anyone you know is need of help transitioning back to life in in the states head to pointmannewburgh.com.
