Daughter Hurt In Crash Dies, Father Arrested

OHIO COUNTY - A Friday crash in Ohio County that sent two people to the hospital has claimed one of their lives.
The family of Melissa Berkley tells Eyewitness News the 18 year old they lovingly call "Missy" passed away just before four this morning at the University of Louisville Hospital.
The family says her death is due to injuries she suffered in the crash.
As we first reported to you Friday, an apparent dispute between Berkeley, her boyfriend, Jerry Goodman Jr. and Berkeley's father Tony Berkeley ended in a serious car crash.
Officials say the two young people lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pond on SR 878 near Dundee.
Eyewitnesses and medical personnel pulled Berkeley and Goodman out of the vehicle.
No word on Goodman's condition.
Berkley is being held in the Ohio County Detention Center on wanton endangerment charges.
Officials say more charges are likely.
