The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport expected to send more than 100 passengers to Florida Wednesday, but the airport had to ground the maiden voyage of Allegiant Airlines.
There were some unknown issues that arose with the Transportation Security Administration and needed to be resolved so no planes were allowed in.
FOX 7 has learned the airports General Manager George Smith has been suspended.
Allegiant is offering refunds and arranging alternate flights as best they can.
The TSA decided late Wednesday afternoon a flight will be allowed to leave at 9:20 Thursday morning.
