Event coordinators say Ritzy's Fantasy of Light's Walk-through is a record success this year thanks to multiple non-profit groups. But one organization's impact is having a lasting effect. Easter Seals says due to lack of manpower it hasn't been able to hold a walk-through since 2005, but thanks to Team J-Man stepping up and coordinating the event. Team J-Man was formed in honor of 22 year old Justin "J-Man" Yates. One of his favorite places to attend Garvin Park for the Fantasy of Lights. With this in mind, the team reached out to Easter Seals and close to two thousand people were able to smile as Justin would walking through the park. Monday night, thousands strolled through Garvin Park to see the decorative Christmas lights. The infectious smile and spirit of Justin "J-Man" Yates, Easter Seals says he is a huge reason why the 2012 walk-through had a record year. Team J-Man is a group of Justin's closest family and friends. Justin suffered from many illnesses including brittle bone disease and died in March after a bike accident. Faith helps Father Gary Yates get by. Holidays are especially rough, but organizing the walk-through helps soothe the pain. Through the hurt comes joy thanks to memories and dozens of helping hands from team J-Man. A life Justin's dad says is gone too soon, but one that's definitely left a lasting impression. Monday's walk-through raised almost nine thousand dollars, a Fantasy of Lights record, many say Justin is a key reason for the success.
