Casino Aztar is giving back to the community this holiday season. Aztar leaders presented two checks to the Santa Clothes Club and the Salvation Army's Toy Town charities this afternoon. Every year the casino hosts charity blackjack and slot tournaments then donates the entry fees to local non-profits.

"This is a big part of our position in the community," said Casino Aztar General Manager Ward Shaw. "We're here as an entertainment destination for people locally, but we want Evansville to be a good place to visit, live, and work. And this is part of our contribution to help out those in need."

Of course, the Santa Clothes Club provides new clothes for children whose families may not be able to afford them. Our telethon just over a week ago raised more than $200,000 for the charity.
