We first reported Thursday Stoney's, a popular night club in Evansville, is closing. We're learning new details why the club shut down. It appears Stoney's was stone broke. A Casino Aztar spokesperson confirms Stoney's corporate owner in Las Vegas filed for bankruptcy back in September. She says it was no suprise to see the business close its doors.

The casino is already in early talks with potential future tennants. No details are being released on what businesses Aztar is talking with. However, the casino says it will be looking for a tennant with a wider appeal. Casino Aztar hopes finding a tennant with broader appeal will help drawl more people across the region to downtown Evansville.

GOOD!!! When they opened they were supposed to be having concerts every couple of months from up and coming artists or "where are they now" artisits...instead they did like every other lousy place in town does...started catering to the college kids and bringing in the same played out cover bands that play the same tired clubs all over town.
