The first fire happened just after 5:00 AM at a Marathon gas station on Louisiana street where a man torched a moped, which then damaged a refrigeration unit. Another moped and a car were also set on fire a few blocks from the gas station. Steven Hart owned one of the destroyed mopeds. He said he was going to use it as his way of getting around Evansville.
"I just bought it, too," he says. "Now I'll be back to riding my bicycle."
The owner of the damaged car called this morning's fires "real cruel." Evansville Poilce say they're looking into the possibility the fires are connected.
