Indiana Flu Deaths Nearing Two Dozen

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: January 15, 2013
Indiana health officials say the number of flu-related deaths in the state has reached 21.

The Health Department reported the updated number on Monday.  It says two of the deaths have occurred in individuals younger than 18.

The agency say no official shortages of the flu vaccine have been reported, but some people might find it more difficult to find the vaccine because of high demand.

Health Department officials are recommending people visit www.flu.gov to find places with the vaccine in stock.  You can also find that, and other useful links on our news links page.

Vaccinations are recommended for anyone 6 months old and older.
