Complaint Filed Over Burned Out Adult Bookstore

Some Spencer County officials have filed a complaint about an abandoned complex they say continues to cause problems.

Earlier this month, fire crews were called out to fight flames at the Love Boutique, the former truck stop that was turned into an adult bookstore.

Firefighters and first responders say this complex is a spot for thieves stealing metals and other items, and a hot spot for fires.

The Carter Fire District and the town of Dale have filed an unsafe nuisance and building ordinace with the Spencer County Board of Commissioners.  Officials say this complex either needs to be rebuilt or torn down.

It's now up to the board to decide on an outcome.
