By: Chris Veech
Updated: January 29, 2013
Kentucky's top farmer visits the Tri-State with a request for everyone who owns a farm vehicle in the commonwealth. When you renew your license plates, give $10 and help young farmers. Donation money you pay goes to help Kentucky 4H, the FFA, and the Kentucky Proud Organization. Agriculture Secretary James Comer says those organizations helped make him who he is today.

"It's a great opportunity for young people to get out of their rural communities and broaden their horizons by seeing the state and the nation, and that's this money will help these young people do."

The FFA and 4H organizations across the state have struggled through trimmed state budgets. 4H is paid for through university extension offices FFA through local schools.
