Paoli Peaks Seeing More Skiers This Winter

David Kastan of Paoli Peaks estimates they're seeing more than twice the number of skiers and snowboarders this season compared to last winter. Winter storms from the past few months have helped conditions. Kastan says up to six feet of snow is on the ground. Skiers hitting the slopes Sunday say they're enjoying conditions much more this year than last year.
"I would say they're perfect," says Jason Buchanan, who brought his family to Paoli Peaks from Illinois. "It's good and powdery. I'm skiing with a guy a while ago, he was on a snowboard, he was having a blast. "
Kastan also says another reason for higher attendance is anticipation. Some skiers and snowboarders sat out last winter and focused their attention on this winter. The 2012/13 ski season at Paoli Peaks runs through mid-March.
