A young Tri-State woman is getting her shot at being the next American Idol. Jenny Beth Willis is an Owensboro native. She's made it to the next round in Hollywood and is now in the top 20 for the female singers. There are 40 contestants left. Willis is well-known in Owensboro for some of her performances at local festivals. We wish her all the best on her journey in Hollywood.

I watched this show both nights this week hoping to see her. Not one time was she on screen singing. I am glad she made the top 20. This is the first time I've heard that.
