Home Owner Adjusting to Life After House Explosion

By: Michael Pickett
Updated: February 17, 2013
The man who lost his home in an explosion near Greenville is still coming to terms with what happened.

Rudy Cundiff's house exploded on Feb. 9.  No one was home at the time of the incident and the blast could be felt several miles away.  Cundiff says he hasn't gotten used to the site of his house not being there anymore.

"It's like a blur.  When I leave and drive in the driveway, it comes back to me," he says.  "There's not a house sitting there anymore."

Cundiff says his family's been helping him since the blast.  He also hopes to start cleaning up the site once the investigation wraps up.

"You can't do anything until after the investigation is done," he says.  "Hopefully, next week, we'll start the clean up process."

As for the investigation, Kentucky State Fire Marshals say they should know what caused the explosion in the next few weeks.
