Is The Sequester Affecting Air Travel?

The sequester cuts have started, but are air travelers feeling the effects?
President Obama signed the sequester bill on March 1st, putting into place more than $85 billion in budget cuts. The White House says the cuts were to effect such things as education, research, and public health. Air travelers were also expected to be impacted through longer waits at security checkpoints and more delays. But some travelers arriving at Evansville Regional Airport on Monday say they didn't experience delays.
"There were no back ups in security today going through Richmond," says Keith Bechtelsbauer. "We both connected in Detroit and I didn't detect any delays."
"No backups in security. No back ups at the ticket counter," says Brooke Kitzmiller. "Just a normal day of travel."
But Homeland Security officials say they're finding longer lines and flight delays at bigger airports in L.A. and Chicago.
