Rebecca Greenwell was honored before the 3rd Region Championship game at the Sportscenter in Owensboro as the region's Player of the Year.  After the game, she was celebrating with her teammates as champions.
Greenwell led the Lady Aces with 17 points, but she had a lot of help from her teammates in the 58-51 victory over Meade Co.  Freshman Destiny Howard had 16 points of her own, including a crucial layup with just over a minute to go in the game to put the Lady Aces up for good.  Kaylyn Pearson also had 16 points on the night.
The Aces will play in the Sweet 16 at Diddle Arena on the Western Kentucky campus.  They will play the winner of Region 12 on March 14.
