Daviess County Inmate Caught Planning Escape

Daviess County Sheriff deputies prevent an inmate from a potential escape. Officers received information that 20-year-old Michael Padgett had made a weapon from a piece of metal and was planning to attack a bailiff and escape. He was being transported from the sheriff's office to the Judicial Center. Deputies found a piece of steel in the transport vehicle. Padgett confessed to trying to escape.
