Water Main Break Closes Central City Intersection

A Central City, KY intersection has been shut down following a water main break.
Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says KY 1031/North 2nd Street is closed at the intersection of Park Street due to the break. This is in the downtown area.
Repairs to the water line are expected to be completed later today or on Wednesday. So far, there is no word of a boil advisory associated with the break.
Drivers are being asked to use side streets for detours, and truck drivers are asked to use the appropriate state routes to get around the affected area.
