An Owensboro family is finally getting closure. Their mothers killer, Calvin Stoudt, was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday. Stoudt plead guilty to the June 2006 strangling of his 46 year old wife, Corrine Stoudt. In the proceedings, the prosecution brought up his previous brushes with the law for theft, child abuse, and sodomy. The prosecution says they would have preferred that Stoudt got a life sentence. He will be eligible for probation after he has served 85% of his sentence. The 2 and a half years that hes spent jail since his 2006 arrest will count towards the sentence.
