Only 80% of Americans Can Pass Driving Test

As millions of Americans pile in the car this weekend -- a recent study questions how many of them are capable drivers. The results are in and a GMAC insurance Study says if given a drivers test today -- twenty percent of licensed drivers in the nation would fail. Daviess County Sheriffs Corporal Chris Wolter says hes not all that surprised twenty percent of drivers would fail the test because you only take it once when youre a teenager. Kentucky drivers are thirty fifth in the nation when it comes to compentant driving. Corporal Wolter says he suggests updating some rules about texting and talking on the phone while driving, and maybe having drivers re-take a written test every now and then. Indiana was number 22 in the nation, Illinois 29. Idaho and Wisconsin tied for the number one spot. New York is in last place.
