Shalah Sasse joined Eyewitness News in September 2009.  Shalah reports and co-anchors Eyewitness News at 9:00 p.m.

Before moving to the Tri-State, Shalah was a one-man-band reporter/fill-in anchor at WRDW-TV in Augusta, Georgia.  She reported on the Masters Golf Tournament, the tornados that ripped through Georgia and South Carolina, and the plane crash that sent DJ AM and former Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta.

Prior to her two years of working in the south, Shalah was the main anchor/reporter for WIPB-TV NewsLink Indiana in Muncie, Indiana.  She graduated with a B.A. in Telecommunications from Ball State University.  At Ball State, Shalah was an anchor/reporter for NewsWatch, the campus news station.  She was also the student chapter president of the Radio Television News Directors Association.  In 2005, Shalah co-hosted Connections Live, an entertainment magazine show which won a Regional Emmy for Best Magazine Format Program.  Shalah interned at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis and Eyewitness News in Evansville.

When she's not reporting the news, she's watching it!  Shalah loves being outdoors, wakesurfing, and walking her dog.
