Jordan (Jody) White was named the new athletic administrator at Henderson County High School on Wednesday. White is a 27-year veteran of the United States Army, where he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He got his Bachelors Degree from the West Point Military Academy and a Masters Degree in Latin American Studies from Indiana University.
White was the head of the Spanish Department at West Point, where he taught for three years. Prior to this assignment, he served five years at two U.S. Embassys in Chile and Uruguay.
White lives in Owensboro with his wife, Jolene, and their three sons.
He was one of 40 candidates for the position and was the unanimous pick of a six-member interview committee made-up of school and community people. White will officially begin his new post on July 1st.
